Whale Watching

Humpback whale watching near Panama City

Panama is one of the only places in the world where both the Northern & Southern hemisphere populations of Humpback whales come together in their migrations to give birth and breed here in Panama!  This gives us a double season and twice as much time as any other place in the world to spend with the whales.

It is easy to find the whales during breeding season, July-October for the Southern Hemisphere whales and Jan.-March for the Northern Hemisphere whales.  We take a boat out from a port near Panama City and head out past Isla Taboga or out to the Pearl islands looking for whales.  Of course, there is never any guarantee when looking for wildlife, however, it is very likely we will see the whales and dolphins are commonly sightes as well as manta rays, sea turtles and maybe even whale sharks!
